Patriot!

I'm asked frequently by many of my friends why I "hate" Americans, hate is too much of a strong word, I do respect Americans and I have befriended a few but its not hate that drives me to this annoyance, neither is it what they do within their own country but its what they say about ours. You may have noticed that I am very patriotic and am very proud to be British, so as you can tell there is a little competition between America and Britain, there always has been and probably always will be, but I try not to say shit about them but the problem is all i hear from them is shit about us.

The UK is near enough 37 times smaller than America, but as a mate of mine once said "Bigger doesnt mean Better", this quote is now my baseline to any comparison with America, and this is where my post starts, my friends have always wanted to know what drove me to dislike America so much, well here it is.

First of all I have nothing against AMERICA but more the inhabitants of the country, with over 300 million people situated within the 9,000,000 square kilometres of land the country has to offer we are bound to have a shitload of comments chucked our way about the UK.

I have heard many Americans call Britain "Little America", this is a total misconception of words as the actual title of America should be "Big Britain", this can be derived from such examples as "Little Italy", "Chinatown" and "Little India" these all came second and therefore took there name from their origin (ie Italy, China and India). Now America was discovered many years ago by fellow British colonies who broke away when it was declared independent from the Kingdom of Great Britain in 1776, so if America came second it should therefore be named after us.

The Number 1 biggest kick in the teeth problem us British people always hear from Americans is the following quote "We saved your asses" or "We won the war", I only have one word to say... BULLSHIT! You might have joined in on World War II "eventually" and aided us to the ending of the war, but never did you WIN it, if I am correct a number of American casualties were infact shot at or wonded by their fellow American soldiers by accident. It is true that their cooperation in the war helped us to victory, but without them we would have still been able t win the war as many people have figured out recently, but it would have taken a hell of a lot longer. You cant come in late to everything and claim it was YOU who did it when you know as well as we do that you didnt.

I really dont feel much like going on and moaning about how annoyed I get by ignoramus' from America (not everyone, but the fair share). Either way, they have to remember they originated from us, they speak our language "ENGLISH", or though you wouldnt believe so today with all their swapped words like sidewalk instead of pavement etc. There city names and states that derive from our cities and counties (such as New York from York, and their state of Boston from our town of Boston) the list continues on and on.

In the end respect isnt the main issue with the Americans, its the amount of abuse they chuck at the country that gave them everything.
